At Cárnicas Iruña, we specialize in the cutting and commercialization of pork, operating a cutting plant equipped to meet the current demands of the market. We are part of the Navarre-based business group Sigma Kreas, which spans the entire value chain, from feed production and pig farming to logistics and meat production. This integration enables us to manage every stage of the value chain comprehensively and efficiently, ensuring the quality and traceability of our products.

Quality from the Source

The group’s roots lie in pig farming, with pigs born and raised in Navarre and its neighboring provinces, allowing us to guarantee maximum quality from farm to table. 

Genetics

Female breeders: a mix of Large White, Landrace, and Pietrain.
Males: 100% Pietrain. 

We currently have 15,000 breeding sows and 120,000 fattening spaces for Large White, Landrace, and Pietrain pigs. Our farms are Welfair™ certified, ensuring animal welfare. The breed, welfare, and the quality of the feed produced at our Marcilla plant ensure the excellence of Cárnicas Iruña’s raw materials.

New Facilities in Lumbier

Our new facilities in Lumbier are designed to meet the latest market demands. Built with sustainability in mind, we have minimized the environmental impact of our operations, achieving 35% energy self-sufficiency through a photovoltaic system.

We hold SAE certification and meet the standards required to export to destinations such as Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Africa, Colombia, and Peru.

We strictly comply with current regulations, implementing controls from the receipt of raw materials to the dispatch of the final product.

Our quality team conducts constant verifications, including visual inspections and temperature monitoring. We also regularly send samples to accredited laboratories and collaborate with veterinarians to ensure full food safety.
